Calculating the cut length on extrusions is most commonly done by deducting the exposed portion of the corner joints from the overall desired outside dimensions or you box. For example: Let’s use the box below calculate extrusion cut lengths based on using Modular Framing’s Standard 150-45 System.


For the length dimension: 124 – (2 x 2.76) = 118.48
For the height dimension: 86 – (2 x 2.76) = 80.48
For the width dimension: 72 – (2 x 2.76) = 66.48

** Full length intermediate supports will be the same length as the corner profiles for most systems**
