Jim and his team recently unveiled the FlexCube which is a compact, modular refrigeration system that’s changing how supermarkets build, cool, and heat their stores.
The FlexCube is a game-changer for supermarket refrigeration. It eliminates the need for:
- Large mechanical rooms
- Excessive piping and rooftop condensers
- Complex installations and ongoing refrigerant leak maintenance
Instead, this compact 2×2-foot cube handles refrigeration and heat in one sleek unit — requiring less space, fewer technicians, and far less installation time.
Most importantly, it uses 75% less hydrofluorocarbon gas than traditional systems by switching to environmentally friendly A2L refrigerants, aligning with the EPA’s aggressive targets for reducing greenhouse gases.

Letting Modular Framing Handle the Box
With so much innovation going into what’s inside the FlexCube, it didn’t make sense for Jim’s team to get bogged down designing the box for the air handling unit.

- Delivered a fully assembled frame and panel enclosure complete with access doors, dampers, and actuators, saving Flexware time, labor, and design bandwidth
